26.2 baby steps


5:40 and we can’t snooze the alarm again !

17/12/18 first day of our sub 5hr marathon training.

Debs puts her light on and flips back the duvet, this is the hard bit and the day it actually dawns on us both what lies ahead .

It’s not our first early training session, but it’s the first one on our journey to 26.2.

We bump around as usual getting dressed in the kit we’ve laid out ready for it.

Brushed teeth , Fitbit ,trainers on and car key.

Let’s do this !

It’s only a 5 minute drive to where we are going to do our first run. We don’t talk much on the way, we still haven’t woke up properly but as we stop on the way to pick Mel up everything bursts into life with her cheery “Morning”

3 miles and 34 minutes later we are dropping Mel off, heading home for a shower quick breakfast and off to work !

We will discuss how it went tonight.
